Our Committees

Resilient Communities Ontario prides itself on promoting public / private sector partnerships, bringing timely leadership & guidance to trending incidents, best practices and lessons learned, with a goal of strengthening and maintaining a safe and secure network of resilient facilities and organizations (communities), including assets and systems vital to the continuity of operations of private and public interests.

Our Committees are comprised of public / private sector volunteers throughout Ontario, dedicated to assist RCO in moving forward the cause of creating resilient communities.

Security & Risk Management Committee

The Security & Risk Management Committee is responsible for education and support of Resilient Communities Ontario Members, by identifying industry accepted best practices and facilitating information sharing, in order to provide guidance in the implementation of strategies in threat assessment, harm reduction, and mitigation of risk; operated on a platform of safety and security from physical and technological threats, including facility protection and information security. The Committee will provide timely and relevant information to the Property Management industry with respect to industry news, trends, gaps and best practices in facility Security & Risk Management.

Mandate: The Fire & Emergency Management Committee is responsible for education and support of Resilient Communities Ontario Members, by identifying industry accepted best practices and facilitating information sharing, in order to provide guidance in the implementation of strategies that promote fire and life safety, emergency preparedness and management, and disaster recovery; operated on a platform of fire and life safety and emergency management, including facility protection, prevention, response and recovery.

The Committee will provide timely and relevant information to the Property Management industry with respect to industry news, trends, gaps and best practices in facility Fire & Emergency Management.

Health & Safety Committee

The Health & Safety Committee is responsible for education and support of Resilient Communities Ontario Members, by identifying industry accepted best practices and facilitating information sharing, in order to provide guidance in the implementation of strategies in the improvement of physical, mental, and social well-being of building staff, prevention of hazards and workplace violence, and occupational stress. The Committee will provide timely and relevant information to the Property Management industry with respect to industry news, trends, gaps and best practices in Occupational Health & Safety.
